Psychology Sessions in Canary Wharf, East London

About Me

Welcome to my website. My name is Anna Simpson, I am a Counselling Psychologist registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (membership number 849771) and a Health and Care Professions Council (registration number PYL34411). I provide confidential short term psychology sessions and open-ended therapy in Canary Wharf and Sevenoaks. I see private clients and I am a BUPA and AXA recognised therapist. I hold Professional Liability and Indemnity Insurance and I am registered with ICO.

To ensure the highest standards across the profession, all practising psychotherapists registered with the BACP (including myself) are required to meet regularly with a ‘supervisor’ to ensure consistency of practice and clinical safety. I participate in clinical supervision and ongoing CPD training in psychotherapy as a requirement of my membership.

Having over 10 years of experience in mental health I have worked with individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures.

My charity experience includes volunteering for Mind where I supported individuals with mental health diagnosis and Polish Psychologists' Association where I provided psychological consultations for polish families and individuals living in the UK. I have gained considerable experience in psychodynamic counselling at Highgate Counselling Centre where I provided weekly open-ended therapy and time limited counselling sessions for individuals facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, loneliness, work related stress, relationship difficulties and bereavement.

My NHS experience includes IAPT psychological assessments for adults experiencing anxiety and depression as well as assessments and interventions for children and adolescents within a CAMHS service.

In addition I have a few years of experience providing emotional and practical support to individuals diagnosed with autism within Choice Support.
